Your Pet’s Mouth Matters

Bad breath isn’t just unpleasant, but a strong indicator that something isn’t right inside your pet’s mouth. Disease prevention is always our priority and now is the perfect time to evaluate your pet’s oral health. Held each year during February, National Pet Dental Health Month helps raise awareness about the importance of proper dental hygiene in the daily lives of pets.

Periodontal disease is the most common disorder among pets nationwide, affecting more than 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats by age three. Fortunately, due to its generally slow rate of progression, dental disease is exceedingly preventable.

In honor of National Pet Dental Health Month, we are offering a $50 discount on dental cleanings in the month of February. Please contact us at (503) 505-7576, if you have any questions or to schedule your examination or dental cleaning.

Our annual food drive for Friendly House ended the first week of January. Our wonderful pet owners donated 450 pounds of clothes, human food and pet food.

Northwest Neighborhood Veterinary Hospital is matching this and donating 450 pounds of dog and cat food for seniors and families in need. Our partner, Hills Pet Food, is also going to match the donation of 450 pounds dog and cat food for a grand total of 1350 pounds of food donated!

The Friendly House Food Drive produced enough food to supply the needs of Friendly House for the rest of 2015! Thank you for supporting this wonderful cause!
